Troubadour Central Coast
The Troubadour is located in the great golden land of Australia on the beautiful NSW Central Coast, surrounded by mountains and the ocean. Please take some time to read about what's happening in our Central Coast music and poetry group. Our group is committed to preserving the traditions of heritage music and poetry for generations to come. We encourage participation by everyone and provide a place for beginning and advanced artists to become involved.

Frequent Activities

The Troubadour meets at the CWA Hall in Woy Woy across from the Wharf and one of the best Fish and Chips shops in the country.
We meet once a month (usually the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1:30 pm) where we are entertained by local performers as well as guest artists. Frequently well known professional musicians and poets visit our venue and provide a fantastic performance for a minimal cost. Its a great opportunity to see some of Australia's living legends.
Come along and be entertained or bring your instruments and contribute to a floor spot. Members and general public are welcome.
The Troubadour also performs from time to time at local Restaurants on the Peninsula where you can come along for a meal while listening to the talents of the club's members and guests.
As well as performance nights, membership of the club also opens opportunities to attend session nights and get togethers where members can exchange ideas, play music and build their confidence for performance or simply enjoy an atmosphere of song and music in an informal environment.

Members are encouraged to participate in the organization as well as joining in and playing music. The Troubadour members and their friends entertain at Nursing homes, fetes and other performance opportunities as they arise from time to time. We are always looking for ways to spread the joy of our music.
Its an interesting way to meet new friends with a similar interest in music and gain experience by sharing.

On the Last Sunday afternoon of each month we have our Open Mic at the Woy Woy bowling Club. Open Acoustic Mic Afternoon
Acoustic ~ Blues ~ Roots
World ~ Folk ~ Alternative
Singer/Songwriter ~ Country
Spoken Word ~ Comedy

The Troubadour Central Coast wants to provide performing artists with an opportunity to perform in front of live audiences and to provide the audience with a taste of things they might not be used to enjoying. We feel it is important to provide a local venue for all types of performing artists to grow so music can be accessed by everyone. We want to bring together all ages and styles of acoustic music and ideas so we can come together and learn about each other.

The open mic afternoons will provide new and experienced artists including musicians, poets, comedians and storytellers with an opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. It may be your first time in front of an audience - or maybe you're a seasoned veteran trying out some new material. This is a great chance to get experience with your performance as well as a way to share your talents. We want to have a friendly nurturing environment to encourage everyone and positive feedback will be welcomed. It also will be a great place to be “seen” if you want to go on to bigger and better events. We will have a couple of mics and a place to plug in basic instruments if you need it. Performers will have up to 15 minutes until everyone has had a turn. Sign up early to make sure you get a spot. If there is time left over, we might go round again or have an open session depending on the mood! If you just want to watch, you are more than welcome as well so please come along and tell all your friends too!

Food and drinks will be available from the Club so why not come early for lunch and relax all afternoon. This event is held in a smoke free environment. The club is right on the water and has beautiful views out the windows so it makes a great afternoon out and if you want to take a break it has lovely parks adjoining right on the water.

Our open mic afternoon is still in its formative stages and we need your support and ideas so please let us know what you think. Please come and encourage our artists and help this event become a regular part of the performing arts on the Central Coast.

For more information or so we can save you a spot, please contact Carl and Leila on (02) 4344 1810 or mail.web@troubadour.org.au. If you aren't that organised and if there is space left, you can also register to perform on the day.
