Tuggerah Lakes Art Society Inc.
New members are invited to join the Art Society. TLAS sees itself in the role of fostering the development of art, painting in media such as oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, line and wash as well as drawing in pencil, charcoal.. Non-exhibitors are encouraged to join TLAS on an 'associate' basis to help promote art on the Central Coast.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to persons interested in art and the promotion of art in general
There is no joining fee and the annual subscription is $20. Where a family joins, the first member pays the annual subscription of $20 and other family members pay a reduced annual membership of $10 each.
Each month members receive a copy of the monthly newsletter by mail.

MONTHLY MEMBERS' MEETINGS
Member’s meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month commencing at 10.15am (doors open at 10am) in the Auditorium, at “Diggers @ The Entrance”, (Tuggerah Lakes Memorial Club), 315 The Entrance Road, The Entrance, NSW.

Member’s Meetings usually comprise a speaker on some aspect of art, an art demonstration or related activity, video presentations. A short business section, to keep members up-to-date with society activities, is followed by a Morning Tea break. Members are invited to bring one of their recent paintings and these are assessed by an experienced artist. These sessions have proven to be extremely helpful and enjoyable. Additionally, Members participate in a “People’s Choice” type selection of the best two paintings. A suitable prize is awarded to the paintings selected.

The monthly Member’s Meeting usually finishes about 12.30pm and members are able to enjoy additional friendships after the meeting with
refreshments, lunch or a small snack at the food and service areas within our host club, Diggers @ The Entrance”, (Tuggerah Lakes Memorial Club).

WEEKLY COACHING SESSIONS
Members are able to attend weekly “studio” atmosphere painting sessions where they paint works of their own choice, under the guidance of experienced coaches.
Wednesdays, from 10am to 1.30pm: OILS, ACRYLICS and PASTELS.
Fridays, from 10am to 1.30pm. WATERCOLOURS, GUAOCHE and INKS. All sessions at the Function Room, "Diggers @ The Entrance".

ART EXHIBITIONS
Art exhibitions are promoted to the community and are restricted to the work of members only, except the “Fabulous Fakes” which is an open exhition. Three major exhibitions are held annually, generally about March, July, and October. The “Fabulous Fakes” Exhibition is a showcase of “recreated artworks” of past famous artists, which include Monet, Turner, Streeton and Roberts. This exhibition us usually held at the end of October. All works are for sale.

TUTORIALS/WORKSHOPS
Workshops, in all mediums are regularly held. Tutorials and workshops are generally held at "Diggers @ The Entrnce", Tuggerah Lakes Memorial Club. Tutors are experts in their fields. Fees vary but are kept as low as possible.

PAINT OUTS
Each 2nd Tuesday, on-location painting outings are held at varying locations. These are informal opportunities to share skills with others
